Pamela Brug, MD, MS
Dr. Pamela Brug, MD, MS is a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist in New Jersey. She graduated from Douglass College with a BA majoring in Biology and Sociology. She received her medical degree from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and has been in practice for more than 25 years. Dr. Brug is a Medical Director at Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey. She is also on the faculty at Rutgers University Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology & Reproductive Sciences.
She has received numerous mentoring, teaching, and community service awards throughout her career. Her interest in disparities in health care has led her to address these issues. As such, she is also on faculty for Rutgers University Women’s Health Institute division of Advocacy and Community Outreach.
Dr. Brug is the founder and president of the New Jersey Black Women Physician Association. The nonprofit’s mission is education, advocacy and mentoring in addressing health disparities and inequities.
